Night Sail
An amazing 3.5 hour stand-alone experience or part of the accredited International Crew Certificate. Sailing at night is a surreal experience as you rely on different senses, steering by feel and enjoying the eerie quiet.
At night the River and Bay light really light up, providing a beautiful, complex and challenging sailing context. Learn to use Navionics and Marine Traffic to navigate safely in the dark. Recognise the light signatures of important navigation lights and use of transits. Prepare the yacht for night sailing and use the correct lights for each mode (steaming, sailing etc.).
Runs monthly on Thursday evenings, departing Docklands (time varies with the season).
Learn to Sail + Competent Crew + Night Sailing + Theory Exam = International Crew Certificate
