This coastal sailing adventure offers a safe, supportive environment for all levels. Anchor overnight in breathtaking Refuge Cove, pass by the dramatic Skull Rock, and explore the Prom’s natural wonders by both boat and foot.
Whether you’re after a memorable escape, keen to build sea miles, or working toward your IYT Bareboat Skipper Certificate (optional, additional cost), this trip has something for everyone.
Crew share in the sailing and meal prep—how much you get involved is entirely up to you.

Itinerary
Join SV Persephone at 1700 on Day 1 at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. Meet your fellow crew and enjoy dinner together ashore.
Depart Geelong the next morning, turn left at The Heads, and sail east toward San Remo. On Day 3, we set out early for Wilsons Promontory, arriving at the stunning Refuge Cove for an overnight anchor.
Spend the next day exploring the Prom—either on foot or by boat—then settle in for a second night at Refuge.
Continue the journey with a sail past dramatic Skull Rock and around to Oberon Bay for more time ashore.
Around 6pm, we weigh anchor for an overnight passage back to Geelong, arriving the following afternoon.
Requirements
Participants should have completed the International Crew or equivalent course.
You need to have your own safety and wet weather gear to a coastal standard.
While we expect to return on time, the exact return date may be impacted by the weather.

Cost:
$2,250 (twin share v-berth)
$2,490 (twin share main cabin, or saloon)
$2,650 (sea berth)
$3,500 (single v-berth cabin)
Inclusions:
Accommodation with meals , fuel and consumables, safety equipment.
Qualifications:
300 sea miles logged.
Option of IYT Bareboat Skipper Practical ($200 extra to cover our certification costs).
