Enjoy one of the most magnificent sailing journeys in Australia – sailing the wild, remote and beautiful coast of Tasmania on our most popular adventure. You will sail on Persephone, a comprehensively refitted and well-equipped Passport 42 built for ocean adventure!

A 9-day sail over 500 NM from Geelong to Hobart, or Hobart to Geelong. Our aim is to do the west coast both ways, but this is only possible about 30% of the time.
On the east coast enjoy time exploring Deale and Flinders Islands, hike Wineglass Bay and explore coastal towns. The west coast trip includes Strahan, the Gordon River, Port Davey and possibly King Island.

Accommodation
We plan to post a video walk through soon. There are two cabins, a sea berth and saloon berth.
SEMI PRIVATE BUNK FOR ONE PERSON
Sleeping space for one person in a bunk about the size of twin bed. The bunk is tucked away on the starboard-aft side of the boat with a privacy curtain. Known as a ‘sea berth’ it is cosy and probably the most comfortable bed on the boat.
V-BERTH FOR ONE OR TWO PEOPLE
This cabin (pictured below) has a door for privacy and a bed that is the size of a full at the aft end and much narrower forward. Plenty of storage, a hatch and porthole. Best suited for either one person who values privacy, or a smaller couple that doesn’t mind sleeping in small spaces together.
MASTER CABIN FOR TWO PEOPLE
This fully private cabin provides a sleeping space for two people in a bed about the size of a queen. This cabin is for two people on a twin-share basis.
SALOON BERTH FOR ONE PERSON
Sleeping space for one person in a bunk about the size of a narrow single bed. It is located in the main communal saloon away with a large shelf for stowing gear. It’s a budget option best for someone who is a strong sleeper and feels comfortable sleeping in a bunk without much privacy. It’s unlikely this bunk will be filled for longer passages but may be for shorter stints.

Includes accommodation with meals on the yacht, non-alcoholic drinks, fuel, marina fees, safety equipment, tuition. We may eat ashore on a couple of times at your own expense.
Note that the trips require a minimum number of participants for operational and financial reasons. Please do not book flights etc. until the trip is confirmed.
