You’ll sail to and overnight at various destinations around Port Phillip—including Wyndham Harbour, Queenscliff, and Docklands—while learning hands-on every step of the way.
Both International Crew and Bareboat Skipper students join the same course, with tailored roles and learning outcomes. It’s perfect for couples or families with mixed experience levels.

Competent Crew – 4-Day Liveaboard Course
Become a capable and confident crew member in this immersive, hands-on 4-day sailing experience. No prior experience required.
Set off down the river, raise the sails, and cross Port Phillip as you learn the fundamentals of sailing in real conditions. This is where your sailing journey truly begins.
You’ll gain practical skills and confidence through active participation—no pressure, just plenty of guided experience.

How to helm under sail and power
This IYT-accredited course is internationally recognised and prepares you for cruising, racing, or continuing toward your International Bareboat Skipper certification.

Take the Helm with Confidence
Learn to take command of a yacht and crew in this internationally recognised IYT Bareboat Skipper course. Ideal for aspiring skippers, this course gives you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to skipper a bareboat in coastal waters—and qualify for your ICC, required to charter yachts in the Mediterranean.
