Go to the next level and achieve the IYT Yachtmaster Coastal Certificate. The IYT Worldwide Yachtmaster Coastal certificate is a recreational certificate of competency for command of sailing up to 24 metres in length up to 60 nm offshore. It is a comprehensive live-aboard course consisting of six days, which includes the practical on water exam.
Your 6-day course will take you across Port Phillip, visiting ports such as Geelong and Queenscliff, before heading through the Rip, into Bass Strait to Hastings. This course reinforces those skills developed in the Bareboat or Day Skipper courses, and takes you to the next level. Comprehensive exercises in navigation, passage planning, anchoring and pilotage will extend your skills and experience. An on water all-day practical exam on day 6 as well as a theory exam on day 5.
Please note, this is the International Yacht Training recreational Yachtmaster Coastal Sail Certificate. This certification is for recreational use only and is equivalent to the RYA Coastal Skipper course. This course is a useful bridging course for the commercial RYA Yachtmaster (Offshore) exam which is taken through an RYA accredited school.

The lower cost is for a shared berth in a cabin or a saloon berth. A saloon berth is a lounge in the main cabin that converts to a comfy bed. Single berths subject to availability. Couples share a private cabin.

Pre-requisites: IYT Bareboat Skipper or RYA Day Skipper. 25 days (8 hrs+) including 2 days as watch leader/skipper. 12 hrs underway at night. During the course you will gain 6 days, 1 day as skipper, 4 hours underway at night towards the above pre-requisites.
