Complete a skipper course, or take the passage as a mile builder as you enjoy an unforgettable adventure along the NSW/Queensland coast. Overnight sailing, whale watching and stops at places like Nelson Bay and the Gold Coast make this a varied, interesting and unique course.
Learn passage planning as you chart our course, identifying safe anchorages, potential hazards, ports of refuge, tidal effects and strategy. As ‘Skipper of the Day’ you will organise the navigation, deckwork, domestic duties and watch roster. Then there is coastal navigation, using electronic and paper charts at night and during the day. So much to do during our 450 NM, 7 day passage!
You will visit some interesting ports, enjoy some stunning anchorages and notch up some significant miles. This is a challenging passage that will build and test your skills.
For an extra $500 you can start/end in Melbourne and gain a further 550 miles.
