Cost: $3,200 twin share or saloon berth (single cabin $4,200)

- Flights and transfers at arrival and departure ports, personal items, dinners ashore.
Complete the IYT Coastal Skipper Practical Course and enjoy an unforgettable adventure along the NSW coast and into Queensland. Overnight sailing, whale watching and stops at places like Coffs Harbour, Scarborough and the Gold Coast make this a varied, interesting and unique course.
Learn passage planning as you chart our course, identifying safe anchorages, potential hazards, ports of refuge, tidal effects and strategy. You will also prepare and implement a pilotage plan to guide us over bars and into ports, considering transits, clearing bearings, buoyage, port or harbour regulations and tide. As ‘Skipper of the Day’ you will organise the navigation, deckwork, domestic duties and watch roster. Then there is coastal navigation, using electronic and paper charts at night and during the day. So much to do during our 450 NM, 6-7 day passage!
You will visit some great ports, enjoy some stunning anchorages and notch up some significant miles.
If you have the Skipper qualification then, after successfully completing this practical course, you will recieve IYT Yachtmaster Coastal Certificate. The course can be taken at Crew or Skipper level.
