Adventure Sailing Petersville Regatta

Petersville Regatta - Blairgowrie

When you crew the Petersville Regatta you join the premier keelboat event at Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron which is held every year from December 27-30.

This is a great entry point into regatta sailing, with its relaxed and social atmosphere. We start with a twilight race on the 27th, which is usually held in a good breeze and makes for an exciting first race. As always this is followed by live music on the deck and food and beverage offerings of Chef Simon and the kitchen crew. A late morning start on day 2 allows for a slow morning and a longer race. Day 3 offers two races including the iconic Sorrento Channel twilight race to Portsea and back. Day 4 offers a final race before the presentation. You then have the option of sailing back to Williamstown.

Our yacht, “Boomer” will have her fast carbon sails on, as well as the Code-Zero and spinnaker. So, even if we don’t do well, we will look fabulous!

Crew the Petersville Regatta and enjoy the wonderful Mornington Peninsula at the height of summer without having to worry about traffic, crowds or high accommodation costs. Never wander further than 20 metres from the water! You will meet like-minded people and will have a memorable time.

This regatta is preceded by the Cock of the Bay and start of the Melbourne to Hobart Westcoaster  if you want to do both.

Petersville Regatta Inclusions:
  • Twin share accommodation on the yacht, fuel and consumables, temporary club membership, race entry fees, safety equipment, and full access to BYS facilities and entertainment.
