Experience Sailing @ Sunset

Step on board and experience the romance of sailing in this four-hour introduction to the sailing life. Experience Sailing @ Sunset offers you the opportunity to learn to sail, helm a yacht and then enjoy the sunset with canapes and bubbles. We often spot seals, dolphins and even fairy penguins. 

This unique experience makes a romantic date, ideal gift, or wonderful adventure!

You won’t be a spectator, but will learn key skills and begin to use them as you trim sails, winch sheets and try your hand on the helm. Learn to tack, gybe and trim the sails for different points of sailing as we slice through the water. 

As we motor up the river at the conclusion of your experience, enjoy platters of food, a glass of bubbles and the sites of the Yarra River as the sun sets.

You will love it!

We depart from Victoria Harbour Docklands and head down the river, while learning the basics along the way. By the time we are at Williamstown it’s time to hoist the sails and learn some new tricks. You will learn to tack, helm the boat upwind, trim sails for offwind sailing and gybe. Everyone has an opportunity to helm (steer) the yacht. After a couple of hours we drop the sails, start the motor and head slowly up the Yarra, while enjoying canapes, bubbles, the sunset and Melbourne’s lights. We cruise down to South Wharf then finish at Victoria Harbour.
