Learn to Sail Weekend
Learn to sail in just two days (9am to 5pm) with the option of staying on board overnight in Docklands, this is the perfect way to learn to sail in Melbourne. There is no assumed knowledge at the start, but you will have the ability to crew confidently by the end.
Step aboard our luxury 40 foot yacht ‘Boomer’, hoist the sails and trim them for all points of sailing, learn important maneuvers like gybing and tacking, and be able to reef sails, pole out the jib and set a preventer.
BYO lunch on board on day 1, and enjoy a special lunch at one of the bay’s great clubs on day 2. The finale is sailing a 10 nautical mile course around the top of the bay. Note that some ‘weekends’ are Friday & Saturday (dates below). Limited places!
Learn to Sail is part one of the internationally recognised and accredited International Crew Certificate. It runs concurrently with the Competent Crew course.
