take a four-day livaboard course
crew & Skipper Courses
Our 4-day liveaboard courses offer an immersive context, intensive learning and a wonderful experience of life on a yacht.
We overnight at different marinas and clubs in Port Phillip, such as Wyndham Harbour, Queenscliff and Docklands. Both International Crew and Bareboat Skipper attend the same course, but have different roles and learning outcomes. This is ideal for couples and families that have different levels of experience. Single and shared cabins available, as well as a saloon berth.
International Crew
$1590
Become a competent crew with this immersive and comprehensive 4-day, liveaboard experience. No prior experience necessary.
Discover the basics as we head down the river, set the sails and begin your sailing adventure as we cross Port Phillip Bay.
You will build confidence, experience and skills with no pressure and plenty of hands-on work. From safety, ropework and sail trim, to basic navigation, seamanship and taking the helm.
This IYT accredited course is internationally recognised and will prepare you for cruising or racing and is the pre-requisite for International Bareboat Skipper.
Bareboat Skipper

Learn to skipper in this International Bareboat Skipper Course and become an internationally recognised bareboat skipper/day skipper as you gain the knowledge, skill, and experience to take command of a yacht and crew. Qualify for an ICC to charter a yacht in the Mediterranean and sail with confidence.
You will learn how to prepare, avoid problems and support your crew. Master navigation, weather, buoyage, and passage planning.
If you have not completed a crew course but have significant sailing experience, then you may be able to gain Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). You will need to have logged 200 NM of sea time. Call do discuss.
To complete the Bareboat Skipper course you will need a VHF Marine Radio Licence (SROCP) which can be obtained through us.
