Bareboat Charter Itinerary Croatia
Use this bareboat charter itinerary to inspire your visit to sail the sensational islands of Croatia.
No amount of hyperbole is too much for bareboat sailing around the islands of Croatia.
Sparkling seas, white sands, historical hotspots, Croatia is a Mediterranean jewel. The location offers the bareboat skipper just about everything you want in a sailing holiday. And there’s no better way to experience this paradise than by island hopping your way from beach to beautiful bay on a charted yacht (except, or course in one of our flotillas!). From the ancient hamlets of Hvar and the Venetian architecture of Korcula to Trogir’s UNESCO World Heritage Old Town, it is a dream bareboat charter destination.
Our 7-day bareboat charter itinerary for sailing Croatia offers manageable legs that give a great balance of time on the water, and opportunities to swim and enjoy exploring the islands. The itinerary offers a great stop for your first night – which is often tricky, because it is hard to get away much before 5.00pm. We also offer anchoring advice, contact details, cost estimates, things to do and places to eat.
One thing about bareboat charter in Croatia is that berthing is expensive, especially compared to Greece. A berth that might cost AU$12 a night in Greece is $100 in Croatia. No point complaining about it, just manage your expectations and your budget. You also need to manage crowds, which are slightly more of an issue in Croatia than Greece or Turkey. Get to anchorages by 2.00pm, book ahead where possible and enjoy some of the quieter bays and not just busy towns like Hvar (pictured above).
