Turkey Bareboat Itinerary Fethiye Bay

Bareboat Charter Itinerary Turkey

Use this bareboat charter itinerary to inspire your visit to this destination in Turkey which is both stunning and fascinating.

Less crowded than other Mediterranean destinations, this region offers great restaurants, shore-based options and many points of interest. There is no need to leave the large Fethiye Bay if you don’t want to, but if you do there is plenty to enjoy along the coast. No other bareboat charter itinerary offers a backdrop like the Taurus Mountains while you cruise the crystal clear waters. Family run restaurants offer relaxed alfresco dining on local food. You can’t help but make great friends and great memories.

Did you know that you can visit the island where St Nicholas (a.k.a. Santa Claus) was buried? True story. You can also hike to the abandoned Greek Village that inspired Birds Without Wings. Easy to access from Istanbul via Dalaman Airport, you can be on the water in no time.

This bareboat charter itinerary can easily be varied based on conditions and preferences. A good NW blow is the time to head to Kalkan, provided the next day is likely to be calm. If weather is poor, stay in Fethiye Bay. If you like longer distances then head SE to Kalkan and Kalekoy instead of Ekincik Bay.

This bareboat charter itinerary is 7-day, but you can easily extend it to 14 days by sailing all the way to Marmaris to the west, and Kas in the east.

We have great local connects and can assist you with your discounted yacht charter, and are happy to offer ideas and sailing advice. We are just an email away tim@bluewatersail.com.au.

See our other post on why we prefer Turkey as a bareboat charter destination over Greece. Controversial, I know!
